Frequently Asked Questions
Cabinets
24 hours, and sometimes even same day! We carry select styles and sizes in- stock for projects requiring a quick turn-around, see our HomePro page for more information. Timelines for the rest of our cabinetry can vary. If you are working with a deadline it’s best to communicate that to our team right away.
Yes! From design to installation, our team of experts has you covered.
Absolutely, we do custom built-ins for offices, storage for mudrooms, basement bars, closets, wine cellars and more! We can put cabinets anywhere, even outdoors!
This is a tough question, and that’s why our designers provide free estimates. There are so many variables that effect the cost of cabinetry such as the size of the space, whether or not you are extending the cabinets to the ceiling, the door style and finish, storage accessories, countertops and more. You’ll want a budget of at least $10,000 to get started, and depending on your selections that budget could double or even triple. If you’re working within a budget, not to worry, come see one of our designers and they will help you work within it.
Countertops
Yes! Silica is actually naturally occurring in nature and we are exposed in small amounts everyday when we go to the beach or drive down a dusty road. The dangers of silica are only due to prolonged exposure to large airborne concentrations This only happens if unsafe practices are followed during fabrication (cutting). Having a quartz countertop in your home poses no risk to your or your family.
Choosing the right stone really depends on your lifestyle and what is important to you. Each type of stone has it’s pros and cons, and it often comes down to personal preference when choosing the right fit.
No, once cabinets are installed the fabricator will visit your home to do a template. This ensures your countertops are a perfect fit. They will then return to install them another day.
The Galley Workstation
The GalleyWorkstations product line includes Workstations, WashStations™, Work&WashStations, BarStations®, and HydroStations. You can add one or two DryDocks® to all of these except the Hydrostation. There are over 700 possible combinations of models and configurations available. Custom options are also available upon request. Even though there are many options, choosing the right Galley(s) for your home is actually very easy.
Yes, absolutely. The drain opening is standard size.
Every Galley Basin is made from one piece of 316L Marine-grade Stainless Steel. A beautiful, custom Angel Finish is applied to every Basin. The Angel Finish was developed to soften the high reflectivity of standard Stainless Steel finishes and for easier maintenance. The finish resists water spots, hides light marks and scratches and is very easy to clean. The finish is also easily renewable back to a perfect factory finish!
There are three different Materials for our Culinary Tools: American Black Walnut, Graphite Wood Composite, Natural Golden Bamboo, and High-Density Resin
Outdoor Cabinetry
The cabinet boxes are constructed from expanded PVC sheets. It is a polymer commonly used for plumbing, so it doesn’t get affected by moisture and bonds with a weld-like strength. The Slab, Shaker, Rustique, Louver and Contempo doors and panels are molded in high density polyurethane resin. These parts are hand finished to look and feel like the real wood masters. Euro doors and panels are made from a High-Pressure Laminate (phenolic resin). Metro is marine-grade high density polyethylene (HDPE).
The difference is subtle but important. These cabinets have been engineered to withstand (and not be negatively affected by) weather. They are not watertight, as this is not normally best practice in an exterior environment where humidity and damp can build up in tightly closed spaces. The cabinets allow some air flow and will keep most water out (when properly installed).
NatureKast cabinets are best in class when it comes to requiring very little maintenance. Your cabinetry can be sprayed down with a garden hose (please do not use a pressure washer) and dried with a soft cloth to get your cabinetry looking like new. For greasy marks, you can use a mild liquid dish soap with lots of water. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning materials.
Warranty & Care
Use a mild soap or detergent with a small amount of water on a soft, lint-free cloth. Always dry the area completely with a clean cloth—never let moisture sit on the surface.
It’s best not to. Small appliances that release heat or steam can damage cabinetry over time. Try to use them in open areas, away from upper cabinets whenever possible.
Yes. Wood is a natural material and can change subtly with exposure to light and air over time. This is part of the beauty of real wood and not considered a defect.
