Welcome Wendy Prodaniuk to the Gem Cabinets Family!

At Gem Cabinets, we pride ourselves on having a team of experienced and passionate professionals dedicated to helping our clients create their dream kitchens. Today, we are thrilled to introduce the newest member of our sales team, Wendy Prodaniuk, who brings a rich background in interior design and an impressive career spanning over 26 years in the cabinetry industry!

Wendy’s journey in the world of cabinetry began with an Interior Design diploma from Lakeland College Vermillion. Her early career saw her working in various roles, including selling appliances and working at Parklane Homes. 

Wendy’s cabinetry career took off when she joined Kitchen Craft 26 years ago. Over the years, she has honed her skills, developing a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of client needs. Her extensive experience has made her adept at creating beautiful, functional kitchen spaces that reflect the unique tastes and lifestyles of her clients.

When asked what drew her to Gem Cabinets, Wendy highlighted the accessibility of our location in Edmonton and the diverse range of cabinetry options we offer. From ready-made HomePro cabinets to custom-made Cabico designs, Wendy appreciates the flexibility and variety available to our clients.

Wendy’s enthusiasm for design is matched by her love of a challenge. One of her most memorable projects involved creating a kitchen with a mirrored fridge door, inspired by a client’s Pinterest photos. 

“It was probably the most challenging project due a vaulted ceiling and large amount of appliances. It turned into the most beautiful renovation.”

In terms of current trends, Wendy is excited about the return of wood accents and the shift from bright white kitchens to muted whites with undertones of grey or taupe. “More clients are moving away from slab fronts to slim shaker or routed slab doors to achieve some detail and keep the ease of cleaning.”

At Gem Cabinets, Wendy recommends our versatile Montalco and Cabico for most clients: “Montalco is a flexible line for most customers, and our Cabico line has amazing color choice and flexibility that can meet the needs from Urban to traditional designs.”

Wendy approaches each project with the philosophy that every client has a vision for their kitchen. “All clients have an idea of what they want. It is important to listen to what is wanted, show them what is possible and complete it within their budget.”
