Design Assistant

Gem Cabinets, a locally owned and operated family business, has been making homes beautiful with custom cabinetry for over 40 years.  We are a leader in the cabinet industry in Edmonton.

Gem Cabinets is looking for a Design Assistant to join our highly skilled team of designers to create amazing kitchens and bathrooms.  The successful candidate is responsible for managing the relationship with the customer by providing exceptional customer service.

The Design Assistant will work in a fast paced professional environment and play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction, promoting and selling products offered by Gem Cabinets, actively engaging staff in all departments to ensure their client’s needs are met and representing the company in a professional and ethical manner.

Requirements:

• 1 – 3 years of sales and design experience in the cabinet industry would be an asset
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously utilizing time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
• Must be focused and attentive to details
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills
• Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and personal vehicle

Job Type:  Full-time, Permanent Monday to Friday no evenings or weekends

Salary:  competitive hourly wage
