Project Coordinator
November 19, 2018The Project Coordinator manages retail and large custom cabinet orders by coordinating designated jobs from point of sale through to project completion. Scheduling and supporting the Delivery, Installation, Quality Assurance and Service.
The Project Coordinator will work in a fast-paced but casual environment and play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by actively engaging necessary staff, Designers, Installers, Project Managers, Service Technicians, Site Superintendents, and Homeowners in a wide range of customer service scenarios while adhering to our safety program, upholding our quality control standards, and making sure building codes are followed.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communications skills, along with good interpersonal skills
- Pleasant telephone manner
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision and as part of a team
- Consistently follow up on items/tasks
- Perform consistently under pressure and handle pressure/disappointment professionally
- Must be focused and attentive to details
- Must be able to function with interruptions and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Able to work well with numbers
Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills - Ability to be diplomatic when dealing with clients
- Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with Site Superintendents and Homeowners
- Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of kitchen cabinet installation
- Is able to read, interpret and compose work orders
- Must be a self-starter that can identify improvements and implement them with limited direction
- Detailed understanding of Customer Service
- Established troubleshooting experience with making effective decisions
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the residential cabinet industry or equivalent experience in the residential construction industry
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends to address customer needs/expectations
- Interest in keeping up with ever-changing technology
