Gem Cabinets Ltd. is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. You will be working in a positive atmosphere and working with a hard-working team to achieve success. Summary:

The Project Coordinator manages the entire Project Management Process for retail and large custom cabinet orders by coordinating designated jobs from point of sale through to project completion.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced but casual environment and play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by actively engaging necessary staff, Designers, Installers, Project Managers, Service Technicians, Site Superintendents, and Homeowners in a wide range of customer service scenarios while adhering to our safety program, upholding our quality control standards, and making sure building codes are followed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take calls and/or emails from Project Managers, Designers, Installers, Service Technicians, Site Superintendents and Homeowners on a daily basis regarding any site, safety, product, or design issues to determine the best course of action to resolve the issue(s)
  • Schedule Delivery, Installation, Inspection, Project Manager and Service Technician as needed
  • Necessary data entry
  • Determine the reason for needed service after discussion with the Project Manager, Service Technician and Designer to decide whether a PO is justified and submit PO requests to builders or Homeowner as needed
  • Send warranty paperwork to the Homeowner

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the residential cabinet industry or equivalent experience in the residential construction industry
  • Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of kitchen cabinet installation
  • Detailed understanding of Customer Service
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communications skills, along with good interpersonal skills
  • Established troubleshooting experience with making effective decisions
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision and as part of a team
  • Consistently follow up on items/tasks
  • Perform consistently under pressure and handle pressure/disappointment professionally
  • Must be focused and attentive to details
  • Must be able to function with interruptions and deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Able to work well with numbers
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to be diplomatic when dealing with clients
  • Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with Site Superintendents and Homeowners
  • Is able to read, interpret and compose work orders
  • Must be a self starter that can identify improvements and implement them with limited direction
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends to address customer needs/expectations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$31.00 per hour
