Generations in the Kitchen: Baking Memories with Great Grandma
December 20, 2024The kitchen has always been the heart of the home and during the holidays, it transforms into a place where memories are made, generations connect and the spirit of Christmas shines brightest.
This year, our very own receptionist, Kathy, shared a heartwarming story that perfectly captures this sentiment. Her 90-year-old mother recently spent an afternoon baking gingerbread cookies with her great-grandchildren—a cherished family tradition that has stood the test of time.
The laughter of little hands rolling dough, the guidance of Great Grandma’s wisdom and the smell of cinnamon, nutmeg and molasses filling the air—it’s moments like these that remind us of what truly matters. Cooking and baking bring people together and in a season defined by love and giving, the kitchen becomes more than just a room—it becomes a space for joy, connection and tradition.
We’re thrilled to share the recipe that Kathy’s family used for their gingerbread cookies—delicious, festive and perfect for creating your own family traditions.
