We’ve already talked a bit about the reasons we love open shelving and from the photos below you’ll see, as far as looks are concerned an open shelf or two in a kitchen makes for a stunning feature. While we know that open shelving isn’t for everyone, if you can adjust to the open look, and if you have enough storage elsewhere, we think it’s one that is absolutely stunning.

When you mix the look of upper cabinets with open shelves you allow a bit of visual rest in the kitchen and an opportunity to inject a bit of wood, bring in some feature lighting, show off a valued collection and add some decorative touches.
